When a mysterious Gate suddenly appears in the heart of Tokyo, Japan, humanity is thrown into chaos as monstrous creatures, including Sauron's armies of Orcs, Trolls, and dark forces, emerge from the Gate and invade Earth. In an unprecedented move, the Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) manage to repel the invasion, but the battle leaves Earth forever changed. What the world doesn't know is that the Gate connects Earth to an alternate realm-Middle-earth, a world locked in a brutal war against the Dark Lord Sauron and his growing army.

Thalion, a sorcerer who has mastered the power of the One Ring, begins to infiltrate Earth, intending to open more Gates and bring about a second invasion.
